Gene Structure and Function

The MHL1 gene is one of 4 separate genes which plays a role in the pathogenesis of HNPCC.
The other genes involved are: MSH2, PMS1, and PMS2

There are many different topics which deal with recent research related to the MLH1 gene .  For your convenience, we have broken down these topics into the following outline.

What linkage studies have been done to localize MHL1 gene to specific chromosome?
What  molecular cloning work lead to the discovery of the MLH1 gene?
How has the MLH1 gene been characterized at the molecular level?
What types of mutations occur in the MLH1 gene?
