Colon Cancer resulting from the HNPCC genes is not much different than other non-inherited colon cancers. HNPCC and other colon cancers have many similar symptoms, which makes diagnosis difficult. The current treatments for these cancers is aggressive, but hopefully as genetic research continues, diagnosis and treatment will become more accurate and effective.
