. . . are the four parts of the Book of Poetry which should be recited over and over.

shī wáng chūn qiū zuò
(poetry already dead, spring, autumn made)

When age of the Book of Poetry ended, the Spring and Autumn Annals were written.

贬, 恶。
bāo biǎn bié shàn è
(contain praise blame differentiate good evil)

The Annals are frank in assigning praise and blame and clearly state what is good and what is evil.
